Seat time in the new 2016 Chevy Silverado
Test Drive
The new 2016 Silverado made its public debut a few weeks back at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, and he most obvious of changes to from the 2015 Silverado, is a new muscular front end design, sculpted hood and signature LED lighting accents.
Other changes for 2016 will include expanded use of 8-speed automatic transmissions, updated available Chevy MyLink with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and additional safety technologies.
The team at the Fastlane Truck got to get behind the wheel for some brief seat time to see if the silverados new looks, new 5.3L V8, and new 8-speed transmission are enough to continue taking that F-150 money. Chevy Silverado lead creative designer Brian Izard makes an appearance as well in the video above to explain the new look of the Silverado.
Pricing will be very similar to last years model, and even though fuel economy information has yet to be revealed, be certain it will be improved over the outgoing Silverado.
