Robert is a father of four in Las Vegas who was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease. Local station FOX 5 and its Surprise Squad decided to surprise him with the adventure of a lifetime—the chance to ride around the desert with racers BJ Baldwin and TJ Lavin.
At the Vegas Off-Road Experience in Boulder City, Robert strapped into the passenger seat of a badass Chevy truck (outfitted with a Silverado trophy truck front end) and sat astonished as Baldwin stormed across the desert at tremendously high speeds. Donuts around a helicopter ensued, as well as driving up and down stairs—the badass automotive equivalent of parkour. Later, Robert went for a thrill ride off a few jumps in more sweet trucks.
And then, in true Las Vegas style, came the guns.
It’s a day Robert won’t soon forget.
