Hot Rod torture tests new Camaro tires

Give an automotive journalist a new Camaro SS, an open stretch of blacktop, and watch all hell break loose.

Just some nice simple sideways drifting action with a set of tortured rear tires. Big plumes of smoke from this brand-spanking-new Camaro. And they just keep on coming. Jeff Lutz probably feels like a kid on Christmas.

The tires currently being shredded are Eagle F1 asymmetric three-season tires, twenty inches in diameter, which as you can see offer up generous amounts of smoke. Hot Rod Magazine and its editors do all the dirty work, so you don’t have to.
