Hot Rod shows the 2016 Camaro is a tire-shredding cloud maker

Hot Rod’s Jeff Lutz is making full use of the 2016 Camaro SS and its status as the most powerful Camaro ever made: 455 horsepower from that LT1 V8. With slightly less drama and billowing clouds, it’ll rocket to 60mph in just four seconds dead. But what’s the fun in that?

Hell yeah. Give a 2016 Camaro SS a stretch of blacktop and it’ll smoke its meats, all day.

The tires currently being shredded are Eagle F1 asymmetric three-season tires, twenty inches in diameter, which offer up generous amounts of smoke. Lutz probably felt like a kid on Christmas.
