2016 Camaro SS may make more power than you think

2016 Camaro SS may make more power than you think

The team over at Hot Rod Magazine have been busy playing with the all-new Chevrolet Camaro SS. This week they posted up this quick clip up on their Instagram feed, and it appears Chevy may have been a bit “conservative” on the power figures released to date for the new sixth-generation Camaro.

Hot Rod brought the bright yellow 2016 SS over to Addiction Motorsports in Canoga Park, CA, for a little mid-day dyno blast, and to their surprise it put down 405.2 HP and 405.4 ft-lbs of torque. By our math (if you can call it that), 405 HP to the wheels is more like 470 HP at the crank, so does this mean the new SS will run a sub 4-second 0-60 time?
