Hot Rod’s Bonemaro hits the track

Hot Rod’s Bonemaro hits the track

Don’t laugh at the name. Even if Hot Rod Magazine wants you to.

The budget 1979 Camaro build packs a 5.3-liter LM7 V8 swap with a turbocharger that’s good for 500 horsepower. Hell yeah. It didn’t cost too much money, either.

Now it’s time to hit the track, sans hood, and see what kind of times that miserably low budget can lay down.

A racing harness and bar, as well as decent race seats, were all added on this episode. Because it’s cool to skimp on the appearance, but not the keeping your skull in tact. Other stuff added on this episode include a spool, subframe connectors, and a spool to help bring that power to the ground.

Then, it was time to hit Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield to see what this beast can rip on the strip. Are you just as curious as us? Then check it out, above.
