This street-legal Chevy S10 has 3,000 horsepower

Did you ever expect a Chevy S10 to have three thousand horsepower? We didn’t, either. But after watching Larry Larson’s monster S10 run the quarter-mile, we now believe we’ve seen everything.

At Rocky Mountain Race Week, Larson brought his monster S10. Packing twin 98mm Precision turbochargers, bolted to a 620 ci Brodix block and heads, and a TH400 transmission, it ranks among the fastest street legal cars in America.

It not only dominated the quarter mile at 5.95 seconds, at a whopping 244 mph, but it also survived a 1,200 mile road trip as part of the event, where entrants raced at four different tracks in five days.

1320Video, above, interviewed Larson and his road trip and racing experience. It’s very worth watching—not just to see what an S10 looks like, blowing the quarter mile into smithereens.
