How It’s Made-Dream Cars: 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

With “How It’s Made: Dream Cars,” your Camaro now qualifies as a dream car. It just happens to be slightly more attainable than the Lamborghinis, Bugattis, and even Corvettes that the hit Discovery Channel show has portrayed.

This episode dives into the Grand River assembly plant Lansing, Michigan, where the sixth-gen Camaro is currently birthed like a mewling infant. Every step of the process is shown in stunning detail—starting with just one hood awaiting installation, to the full assembly line with sparks flying that rolls off dozens of Camaros daily.

With 455 horsepower on tap from its 6.2-liter V8, the 2016 Camaro SS practically flies off the line.

Lansing, Michigan has played host to the Camaro since just this year, and it builds many of its Alpha-platform stablemates: the Cadillac ATS and CTS, as well as their V-Series cars. In 2013, it produced the one millionth Cadillac.
