Meet “Smoothster,” a Chevrolet S10 built by the talented hand of Kris Carroll. Its unusual full-length grille stretches over the headlights, reminiscent of old Chevy C10s (and possibly even the Ford Falcon Ranchero). The S10 started off as a baby-blue matte-black creation when Kris’s shop decided to slam the heck out of it. It wasn’t even called “Smoothster” then. They were going to call it “Black Widow.”
Now, the result, beautifully shot in this six-minute video, is stunning. Air suspension and huge wheels showing off red Baer calipers just look and fit right. Under the bed is a custom subframe and Fox shocks. The paint was all done by Kris, just in time for SEMA. It’s definitely unlike any other Chevy truck, or any other mini truck, you’ve probably seen.
