Crazy Chevy C10R is a race truck built for pure speed
Custom
SoCal-based PCHRODS built this spectacular Chevy “C10R” to do one thing, well, two things, really: stick to the pavement like glue, and go as fast as hell. DRIVE’s Mike Musto believes that they’ve succeeded on both counts.
The phenomenal C10R was built by Brandy Phillips and her husband Rob, who have experience racing older Camaros and C10 pickups on the pro touring and autocross circuits. In that case, this 1972 C10 reflects everything they know about building mean Chevys: with hand-modified chassis work and a 5.7-liter LSx engine with 585 horsepower, mounted 10 inches back, the C10R elevates the performance truck to high art.
