When we saw this truck at SEMA last fall we fell in love on the spot, and considering it came home with the GM Design Award for Best Truck from the vegas spectacle, we weren’t the only ones.
Chuck Mallett has been building all kinds of cool for years, and when it comes to American performance, you name it, Chuck’s done it. So when he heard GM was doing a truck for SEMA he was ready, willing, and more than able to step up and partake. The end result was an 800hp Silverado build that captured the much-loved retro styling of a 1972 Chevy truck, paired with modern high performance.
“We built this truck to show off our shop’s skills and maybe generate some more business,” Chuck Mallett explained to the Block. “We really just wanted to build something that was low, had incredible styling, and created some serious power, but all while keeping the truck as a daily driver.”
