Callaway C7 Corvette Z06 makes first public showing at Corvette Museum bash

Tuning
Famed tuner Callaway has revealed it’s much anticipated tuning package for the new C7 Corvette Z06. Shown in public for the first time this weekend at the National Corvette Museum, Callaway’s new Z06 features their GenThree supercharger system with 32% more displacement than the stock Z06 supercharger, improved manifold design, and unique triple-element intercooling system.
According to the press release, Callaway engineers recognize that a key contributor to maximizing power is reduction of inlet air temperature, and by exposing the superchargers large plenum area to outside ambient airflow, the design takes advantage of the significant charge air temperature reduction provided by convective cooling.
The completely redesigned intercooling system also helps maintain nearly ambient charge air temperature with exceptionally low air restriction. Plus, the supercharger housing geometry was configured to allow further optimization of the charge air path – all leading to increased power and torque without the compromises faced with underhood solutions.
Horsepower and torque numbers are still pending final validation. The package is priced at $16,995.
