Bank robbing Chevelle is ready to pull heists

Bank robbing Chevelle is ready to pull heists

After 1972, the Chevelle nameplate fell into the deepest, darkest clutches of the Malaise Era—but as Mike Musto from Big Muscle shows us, one guy refused to take Jimmy Carter’s administration lying down.

Calling it the “bank robber’s special,” Musto imagines the mild-mannered owner pulling heists in this menacing grey coupe. The owner built the 350 small-block with his uncle in high school, then finished the rest of the powertrain while in college. The suspension is well-sorted, the tires are meaty, and Musto is certainly impressed.

Appropriately enough, the 1973 Chenille was also driven by a certain Ryan Gosling in Drive. (And Musto appears on the DRIVE network. Coincidence? Conspiracy?)
