LS-swapped Chevy C/K sounds gnarly, is a cinch to build

LS-swapped Chevy C/K sounds gnarly, is a cinch to build

It’s not that hard to swap an LS motor into a 1990s Chevy truck, as owner Richard Wiley demonstrates with his 1994 Chevy 1600 shortbed. In this comprehensive video, he goes over exactly how to do it, starting with a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 from a 2001 Chevy Suburban. It’s a nicely set-up truck, using a lot of readily available parts from the GM or NAPA catalog. Of course, you might not have to create your own wiring harnesses, but it doesn’t hurt to do so.

An LS2 cam, LS6 valve springs, ported heads, Torq-Thrust wheels, an LSD in back, even an eBay Special intake, round out this tidy little truck. Plus, there’s some Dodge-taunting action in there, which adds to the fun.
