Twin Turbo Silverado roars on the dyno

Steve Morris Engines took this ordinary-looking Silverado and put some extraordinary stuff under its hood.

Steve Morris takes us through the Silverado, which starts with a 427 LSx engine and then receives two Precision 7175 turbochargers, an air-to-air intercooler, Holley EFI, and a JEGS 4L80E performance transmission.

Looking mean in black, with steelies, it’s on the dyno where it really shines. On a race tune, the twin turbo Silverado is putting down over 1,000 horsepower—1,031 to the rear wheels, to be precise. This truck belongs to Rashed, of the UAE, where it is probably tearing up roads as we speak.
