Chevy Silverado has the supercharged heart of a Corvette ZR1

Here’s a pretty unassuming truck with the best example of General Motors corporate synergy: it fires up with the heart of a supercharged Corvette ZR1’s LS9 engine. How’s that for fun?

The crate motor looks like it fits under the hood with plenty of room to spare. As it goes on the dyno, the supercharger whine is glorious—and it records a whopping 510 horsepower as a result.

With a short wheelbase and not much weight over the rear, we imagine this Silverado can do some fun donuts.
