Everything you wanted to know about the Chevy Reaper
Silverado
Back in 2014 you’re only option for an out-of-the-box high performance American made pickup truck was to head over to your Ford dealer and negotiate on a Raptor. The Raptor featured a 6.2L v8 that pumped out 411 HP with 434 lb.-ft. of torque, not bad but if you’re a Chevy guy this wasn’t even an option you’d consider — then came Lingenfelter and team to save the day.
The package put together by the team was an impressive one, but featured one focal point that has been a thorn in the Reaper’s side ever since its debut — it has one of the worst looking front ends ever put on a modern day Chevy truck. If you can get past it’s controversial front end styling then you are left with one heck of a beefed up Silverado, and quite a few are for sale here if you’re in the market.
As a refresher, the Reaper begins life as a Silverado Z71 and buyers can choose from a 5.3- or 6.2-liter V8 with up to 550 HP, both fitted with a nasty sounding Corsa exhaust system, and tuned with Lingenfelter custom software.
